Thom Proctor is a composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, lyricist, and collaborator in a variety of
genres.

As a performer, he has played with rock and folk bands, marching and symphonic wind ensembles, choral groups,
bell choirs, and orchestras in the United States, Europe, and Australia. Since 1997, he has written commissioned
scores for films, plays, television, and new media.

In addition to being a composer, Thom has written and performed in several films and plays, and has a keen
understanding of dramatic form. Rather than simply "wallpaper" a scene, Thom writes music that cuts, to the
emotional core of the larger work. His music is invisible yet integral to the dramatic storytelling of the films
he scores.

Thom holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film Music Composition from the University of North Carolina School of the
Arts and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (Cum Laude).
